A: Our studio is based in North Bangalore. We work on projects across the city and also take on assignments across India.

A: The Design Collaborative was founded in 2017 with a focus on creating calm, functional, and timeless spaces. Since then, we’ve worked on homes and commercial spaces that reflect modern Indian sensibility with an international design vocabulary.
Q: What kind of interior design services do you offer?
A: We offer turnkey interior design and execution services for residential spaces including apartments, villas, and independent homes as well as commercial interiors, such as office spaces and studios. Our scope includes space planning, civil modifications, interior design, interior styling and after services.
Q: Do you offer architectural services?
A: Yes. We offer architectural services for residential and commercial projects, including space planning, facade design, and integration with interior layouts. Our architectural work focuses on creating seamless spatial flow and visual coherence from exterior to interior.
Q: Do you handle construction and execution?
A: Yes. Unlike design-only firms, our projects are fully turnkey. From the first sketch to the final styling, our in-house team handles all aspects of design and execution to ensure design consistency and build quality.

Q: What does your interior design process look like?
A: Our process is structured across five stages: Discovery & Space Planning, Mood Boards & Concept Design, 3D Visualisation & Technical Drawings, On-site Execution and Final Styling & Handover. We maintain transparency and collaboration at every step.
Q: How long does the design and execution process take?
A: Design typically takes 2 months. Execution timelines range from 4 to 7 months depending on the size and scope of the project. We’ll give you a more accurate timeline after the design scope is finalized.
Q. Who will design our Project?
A: Your project will be handled by a core team consisting of the principal architect, a design lead, a project manager, and a site supervisor - from concept to completion.
Q: How many revisions are included?
A: We typically offer 2 rounds of revisions for layouts and concepts. Additional changes are handled at an additional cost with timeline adjustments, if needed.
Q: How often do you visit the site?
A: Our team conducts regular site visits and maintains consistent communication with our site supervisors to ensure design fidelity and quality.
Q: What is your design style?
A: Our work draws from minimal, modern Indian design, with influences from Japandi and contemporary aesthetics. We prioritise clarity in form, balance in proportion, and a thoughtful use of natural materials and muted tones.
